Java is a programming language used by developers across
the world to create applications for your computer.
If you have downloaded Minecraft that means you have
downloaded Java. Java runs on over 7 billion devices world wide.
What was Java made in?
The first Java compiler was created by Sun Microsystems in the C langauge with some C++
libraries.
Java is a powerful programming language, it is basically a step away from
C++. In these tutorials we are going to be doing game development, at the end we are
going to be creating a game. In order to be able to work with Java, you will have to
download a JDK and Eclipse (Eclipse is the program used to write java in this tutorial
