THE GOAL OF THIS PROJECT WAS TO CREATE A SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE SYSTEM TO SAMPLE AT REGULAR INTERVALS VARIOUS DATA POINTS IN AQUAPONICS AND HYDROPONICS SYSTEMS AND DISPLAY THE ACQUIRED DATA IN A USER FRIENDLY WAY. THE SYSTEM ALSO NEEDED TO BE ROBUST AND BE CLEAN - IN THAT THERE WEREN'T WIRES STREWN ALL ABOUT. ORIGINALLY THIS WAS MEANT TO ENCAPSULATE BOTH AQUAPONICS SYSTEMS LOCATED AT ARGYLE, HOWEVER DUE TO RESTRICTIONS, ONLY ONE SYSTEM COULD BE ESTABLISHED. THIS PROJECT REQUIRED A COMBINATION OF SKILLS IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING.
THIS PROJECT UTILIZES HOMEASSISTANT AND ESPHOME. THESE PROJECTS ARE OPEN SOURCE, HOWEVER THE CONFIGURATION FILES AND SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED SOURCE.
